This award is a true honor to receive. I deeply thank MotherofAngels for nominating me for The Growing Self Blogger Award!  She writes beautiful, soulful memoirs, touching poetry and meaningful pieces about life and being a wonderful mother to her beautiful children. I always love reading her work as it brings me back to the days when my two adult children were little. Her blog posts always touch my heart. If you want to smile, read her work!

What is the Growing Self Blogger Award?

LET RODA, THE CREATOR, DESCRIBE ITS PURPOSE HERSELF: “THE GROWING SELF BLOGGER AWARD HAS BEEN CREATED TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND CELEBRATE AMAZING INDIVIDUALS, IN THE BLOGGING COMMUNITY, WHO ARE PERSEVERING THROUGH LIFE’S CHALLENGES NOT ONLY TO GROW AS INDIVIDUALS, BUT TO REACH OUT AND HELP OTHERS GROW AS WELL.”

The Rules:

  • NOMINATE UP TO 5 BLOGS. REMEMBER, THE PURPOSE OF THIS AWARD IS TO SPECIFICALLY CELEBRATE THOSE INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE OR THE LIVES OF OTHERS;

GIVE AT LEAST 1 REASON WHY YOU NOMINATED EACH INDIVIDUAL.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE NOMINATED, YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO ACCEPT OR TAKE PART. ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE, OK?

Nominees :

I nominate QuittersWin whose daily posts give strength, inspiration and often a laugh, for those going through the courageous and difficult process of removing substances from their lives. I do believe the blog is geared toward smoking cessation (please correct me if I am wrong) 🙂 but anyone trying to quit anything can benefit from his thoughtful posts, or even if you aren’t quitting anything, (like me) his daily posts are uplifting and have given me many a reason to feel grateful for the encouragement to do my best each day.

I also nominate Girls And Their Cats  whose wonderful stories of women and their feline companions make me smile, laugh and cry. Her many posts feature amazing women who have endured hardships, loss, and triumphs, all with their beloved kitties by their side. The photographs are beautiful and touching. If you love cats, definitely check out her blog.

My third nomination goes to The Prince of Prince Street. He is a new and upcoming blogger and has written several heartfelt journaling style posts that are rich with substance. His insightful writing is so relatable, with stories about all the varied and many lessons in life: loss, change, success, courage, and triumph. I hope he keeps writing. He has a lot to say. ❤

My fourth nomination goes to SunrayFox of Sunray’s Hearth. She is an experienced blogger who been writing about all aspects of life from love to creativity,  challenges with illness, inspiring relationships, family, healthy eating and anything else her heart inspires her to write about. She has inspired me many times with her quests, Living Vividly Habit Challenges for self-improvement.

And Finally, last but certainly not least, I nominate one of my favorite bloggers, Saumya Agrawal of Randomness Inked, who is nominated frequently for awards because she is so awesome! Her poetry is so deeply beautiful and her weekly word prompt, Let it Bleed, has given me the inspiration I so often need to sit down here and let my writing flow onto the page.

So, to all my nominees, I thank each one of you for your amazing contributions to the blogging world and especially for making a difference in my world with each post you make. I know these awards can take a lot of work, so if you don’t participate in them I understand and no worries. Just enjoy the honor and know that your writing is appreciated!
