Dark bronze crane standing ever so silently

placed among grasses and rock which you would find familiar.

Does your spirit still reside in your body of armor?

Do you long to take flight in the cobalt sky?

Are you bothered by the firefly that lands on your elegant beak

or do you ask her about her life?

The crows caw noisily at you from the trees above. Do they taunt you to join them or

are they telling you of their adventures of scavenging.

You are beautiful in your stillness.

You are more than just an ornament in my yard, as your presence gives me comfort.

You are my companion when I practise yoga and meditate.

You remind me to be concious of peace, grace, beauty and stillness.

Beautiful dark bronze crane.
