Original Watercolors 16×20 Driftwood
These watercolors I did last year after visiting a beautiful beach in Fort Meyers FL called Lovers Key. The driftwood was everywhere. The pieces were as high as six feet and had these amazing shapes that created windows in which to look through at the blue-green ocean of the gulf. I was captivated by these natural sculptures created by the rhythm of the sea, wind and salt. I took multiple photographs and used the images to paint the three pieces here. I think this has been one of my favorite painting subjects.
